I just read online that if you braid your hair wet, you will have less stray hairs. Has anyone tried this?

Whoa...that sounds kind of scary. Wouldn't wet hair be in a more fragile state so adding extensions/braiding would cause added stress?
p.s. No, i don't braid my own hair but I just had to add my 2 cents

Yes and I agree.
It gets smoother with no less damage since it's up to you how tight you want to braid.
Plus I always put a creme hairdress on each section and it seems to suck it up better when wet.

Ooh, nice tip Nina. I just got braids but I am going to try to do it myself around December or so. I'll remember that.

Do you think Wanakee's hairline creme would be too heavy for braids?

It would probably be fine if used sparingly.

My braider actually uses a tenny bit of non alcoholic gel on each section of hair before she braids and it keeps it perfect and actually moisturized before I have to add more moisture. OOOH I can't wait until Saturday when I get my hair done.
