Can I just mix some garlic and olive oil together, let is sit for 2 days, and leave it in my hair for an hour?

Hey! I posted a recipe for it in the recipe board. Here it is...
Crush 10 cloves of garlic and stir them into 1/2 cup of hot Castor oil. Cover and let sit for 2 days then strain. Message into scalp, wrap hair with towel for about 1 hour. Shampoo with fragant shampoo.

As far as I know, unless you buy the odorless brand from Nutrine, there is nothing you can do. I haven't tried it yet but I know that those who have say that is smells horrible, but it works to help slow down shedding.

I didn't even do this. I think I crushed about 5 cloves (I have a mortor and pestal) in some olive oil and used it immediately. I did a deep treatment and it did work... but my hair had a distinctly garlic smell when I got my touch-ups or sweated in my hair. My hairdresser said tomato sauce would get rid of the smell...but I was too lazy to try it.
