Next time I hit the pool, I will wet my hair down and then smooth oil on it. As I understand it, the hair will be absorbing the water and oil, and will hopefully not absorb much clorine. Afterwards, I would do use a clarifying shampoo and then deep condition. ENJOY THE WATER!
Saturate your dry hair with conditioner and olive oil (or your favorite oil) and wear your swimcap.
After swimming:
Immediately go to the pool shower and rinse out the conditioner/oil mixture. When you arrive home, shampoo with a clarifying shampoo and deep condition with a moisturizing conditioner.
Aubrey Organics makes a clarifying shampoo called SWIMMERS SHAMPOO.
It removes chlorine and product build-up from your hair.
Make sure you deep-condition your hair after!

When I used to swim alot. I would put conditioner in my hair before i went swimming. This way the pool water would absorb mostly the conditioner and not into my hair. I would then use a good clarifying shampoo and follow up with a deep conditioner.
