Hello Ladies. Yesterday, I took my two strand twists out (i had hair added) and when i was coming it to detangle it, i lost SO MUCH hair! I really wanted to cry. But it didn't stop there, when i was washing my hair in the shower, even more hair came out! Luckily, that when I got out of the shower and started getting ready for bed, I didn't lost that much hair. I washed with shampoo because I need to clean the buildup out of my hair, but then i deeped conditioned with cholesteral (sp?) and I conditioned again witn the Sauve milk and honey. Is there anything else I can do. My braid out looks, soo much shorter than ever before. My mom thinks that it has something to do with me haveing braids

how long have u had the braids/twists? how did u care for it when u had them in? Braids never were good for my hair, it came out more scraggly each time I took them down, but I didnt know how to care for them and there are others that do and it works for them. I just have to be able to get TO my hair to get it clean and moisturize it...

u should probably be extra gently with it, probably do a protein treatment followed by a good moisturizing conditioner. then leave it alone for a while to let it recooperate(try to wear low manipulation styles like braid outs and buns). U may also need a trim if the braids cut into your ends and split them, bc u will lose a lot more hair if your ends split up the shaft. HTH! good luck!

I agree with Leslie, sounds like you are in need of a good hardcore protein treatment (Aphogee or Nexxus) followed by deep conditioning and much moisture.

Try the thread: "This is the LHCF Directory" started by Innocent Kiss. She has put together some good links which include some on moisture. If you scroll down the thread, Leslie has also included some additional links.

Thanks Innocent & Leslie.

What I have been currently using as a daily moisturizer is a concoction of: (distilled water, NTM silk touch, Salerm21, EVOO, S-Curl & a touch of coconut milk). This is mixed in a spray bottle and I use it in the morning & at night. My hair is in a ponytail most of the time.
