Can someone recommend a color for me, but is has to be something without ppd as I had a severe allergic reaction to ppd. Can't use Bigen due to the ppd in it. I've used some semi-perm colors in black but they color my grey brown. I now have black color on the length of my hair and brown roots. Not a good look.

I suggest you find the nearest Aveda school or concept salon. Petroleum free, 97% natural permanent color and 99% natural semi/demi-permanent color. Pricey. I did a review in my Color Fotki album.

Can you buy Aveda colors online as I live 180 miles from Dallas?

Unfortunately, one cannot buy Aveda colours on-line. The colouring service can only be done at an Aveda salon.
