Has anyone else has felt that when they've cut their hair short, due to BC or other short haircut, they've felt a bit plain?
When my hair was longer, I used to like doing the 'natural make up look' (not fully natural, mind. Mascara and lip gloss).
I saw some pictures taken of me the other day (2nd day after 'BC') and I don't like what I see at all.
I think I need bigger, dangly earrings, some eyeliner, some noticable lipstick not just my usual shiny lipgloss, some foundation (which I usually only wear except on nights out) for my less-than-perfect skin .
It seems like, to me, long hair was more of a 'feature' than I thought. Anyone else feel this way...?

I know that this usually is the case but when I had cut my hair into the "Halle Berry" I went more natural on the make up and wore only diamond studs. I think the short cut really emphasized my features so I didn't need to do much at all.
I still daydream about my hair cut. Maybe one day!

I feel you.

I enjoy a certain amount of embellishment.

Long hair is such a great natural embellishment, that you don't need a lot of other enhancers.

When I wear my hair shorter (or up), I do more intense makeup or accessories.

I do the same thing when I wear my hair up.

Don't let anyone make you feel bad for feeling this way. Lots of people go for more accesories when they have short hair..Myself included. You feel like you have lost something and are trying to make up for it in other areas. I'm sure you look great with short or long hair!

I do think long hair is an additional accessory. I usually didn't wear any make-up at all with longer hair. Now I try to add lip gloss, eyeliner, mascara and ensure my eyebrows are arched (when I remember to do all this). I also bought some small hoop earrings. I think that short hair doesn't need MUCH accessorizing, but it feels better with some. The upside to my hair now is that I look more youthful (and cuter, IMHO) with shorter curly hair, so just adding minimal make-up or accessories really sets off the new do.

I feel the same way. I always feel like I have to wear makeup when I have my own hair out opposed to my weaves.

No, I wear the same amount either way...
now If Iwear wavy , curly or straight hair I might change up my style, but I pretty much KISS

I'm wearing more makeup. Since my hair is up most of the time I wanted to highlight my face. But when I put on makeup, I always look natural. I don't want to look "done".
