I would say yes. I use a hair, skin, nails vit as my multivitamin--they include many of the same ingredients and daily vits that regular multivitamins have, in addition to biotin, silica, zinc, panthenol, etc. I use 2 diff. HSN vits and alternate taking 1 on 1 day and the other the next day so I get the best of both but don't overdose either.
My dr. knows I take HSN vits and not an extra multivit, but it's ok since I am getting everything I need from the HSN vits and my diet.
ETA: Whatever my HSN vits don't have, like calcium, or iron, or the omega fatty acids from fish oil, I take those extra vits on the side. I'm careful to eval what the HSN vit has then determine what I might need to supplement on the side or in my diet.
