Which is less damaging in the long run?

I just started texlaxing my hair. Love it for body but I am trying to get out of my straight hair mode. Until I wean myself off of straight hair completely, I am slowly increasing my use of my flat iron to straighten my hair (which I hardly ever used while relaxed bone straight).

Am I doing more harm than good? Do people who texlax or relaxer stretch find that they use more heat than they did when they were bone straight (all post LHCF because we all did some stuff pre)?

Nothing like CHEMICAL DAMAGE!
I would just go natural and get the hair pressed every once and a while.
