There are people on this board and all over youtube that were not shampooing at all or often enough. Even once a month shampooing is taking a gamble for someone who could potentially co-wash 6-16 times a month or almost daily. You need to read the komaza hair analyis threads on here. There were numerous people who hair was getting thinner from clogged follicles and they were encouraged to stop. The owner expressed that she wasn't anti co-wash but too many people weren't washing often enough under the guise that shampoo is too drying. it's just about finding the right shampoo. She also touched on the issues that moisturisng shampoos can cause if you use lots of products. You should wash with a shampoo is is clear or clarfying then follow with a creamy shampoo, not use a creamy poo on dirty hair with oils, butter, gels, etc. Many on youtube were having all kinds of scalp issues that disappeared once the co-washing stopped.
I dont know anyone that never shampooed their hair because they were using a cleansing conditioner. Many people suffered from hair loss including people from this board and im certain they also shampooed.
