Long story short..... I'm trying to get my hair growing healthy like I use to when I use to be on here faithfully on a different account.

My job in the navy requires a lot of swimming. Past 6 months I had a break from the pool/chlorine luckily but starting next week i'm doing pool PT again but maybe like once a week. I don't have the time i'm given to dry my hair/straighten it between PT and WORK and because of its length I HAVE to wear it in a military standard bun which is hard to do for MY hair when its wet because of the stupid layers I have in the middle that I'm trying to grow out evenly. I use to transition and then eventually texlaxed for some time, and then went back to relaxing last christmas so i have so many crazy textures.

I just need help with this pretty please on finding a really good leave in that'll be beneficial when I bun it.....

here's a picture to get an idea on the length.

I really like QHEMET BIOLOGICS hydrating balm and burdock root cream they work well together. I'm natural but it's just a suggestion and they both are made of natural things. Just curious, do u work at the boot camp pool?

I like Giovanni Direct leave-in. It's very moisturizing, has natural ingredients and it's PH balanced.

I get mine from the massagewarehouse.com the liter size for 11.04 which is way cheaper than you can get it in stores.

I heard of Giovanni being good too. Thanks Gus!

And no I don't work at the boot camp pool, I'm a navy aircrewman, when we don't work were training and that consist of alot of swimming and water survival.

I love Giovanni's leave-in conditioner, Kinky Curly's Knot Today, and I also use Kimmaytube's homemade recipe using KCKT.

I'm a just-below shoulder length, 4a Natural. I'm in the 2011 Bunning Challenge and I like Allafia Beautiful Curls Deep Treatment Masque (no protein, no silicones or parabens and shea butter based), Desert Organics Coconut Conditioner (no protein, no silicones or parabens and provides good slip), and Giovanni Smooth as Silk (light protein, no silicones or parabens and is richer than the Direct Leave In). All of these work to lay my edges down, create and set my waves and leaves my hair moisturized and strong. I alternate between using a protein and non-protein conditioner to bun my hair.

HHG and HTH!
