My hair is working my last nerve right now. No matter what I do it is dry. I also want to be able to achieve the "swing" at least once and I can't achieve it. My rollersets are disastrous. My flat ironing doesn't even give me the swing. Ok let me stop babbling and tell you all what I do so maybe you can help me out.

I recently clarified so thats not the problem

rollersetting - I use water ltr leave in and seal with ic fantasia serum I try not to use allot but my hair never looks good.

flat iron- i use the same things i rollerset with but hair doesnt get straight even with a chi!! when I say not straight I mean straight at the roots

shampoo- PM tea tree
conditioner- ors replenishing or silk elements moisturizing treatment
co wash- ltr
relaxer- silk element lye mild

I trimmed my end and my hair is still breaking I am getting lil pieces everywhere. Its dry so I think i have protein overload.

All I do is pin my hair up all the time because it doesn't hang!
Please help me.

When I can't accomplish the swing on my own I go to the professional - my stylist. She knows how to give me the swing.

yes i dc atleast once a week. I don't know what wrong with my hair:wallbash::wallbash: I just want to get braids but I have to fix my breakage first. for some reason i feel like if was longer it would look better but i know thats not true

Sounds like you may have too much protein.
Why not try a creamy moisturizer. I do this under a dryer with a plastic cap for about 10-15mins. Sometimes I will do a hot oil treatment at the same time right over the moisturizer rinse completely and do your final rinse with cool water to flatten the cuticle.

I hope this is helpful.

Hopefully some of the more experienced ladies will come with some suggestions but whenever my hair becomes to dry I use S-Curl moisturizer. My hair loves it, I think it's the glycerin in it. GL.

you use moisturizer under the dryer instead of condish? the only moisturizers i have are olive oil moisturizer and qp mango butter

have you tried rollersetting with plain water and using your leave-in and /or sealants after? If u have already tried that, sorry, that's all i could come up with because I saw that particular order in someone else's reggie who said it helps with the silkyness and swing of her hair. as for your breakage, you could try the moisturizing treatment that was suggested and maybe also pinning your hair up differently (I hear the same position style can start to stress the hair). Keep your head up, Im sure you'll have the solution soon.

Well there is a difference between conditioners and moiturizers in a true sense.
A conditioner usually will strengthen the hair. What is usually sold in the stores as conditioners after you shampoo are more moisturizering so that it what I refer to them as. A creme rinse " condtioner" will do the same thing.
There are cones that will soften the hair. I see that you mentioned that you use NTM leave in. Perhaps trying the entire line poo, condish and then the leave in will relieve you of the dryness and breakage that you are experiencing
Sometimes if I have vo5 creme rinse I will use that and you will find that these types of "conditioners will give the hair more slip and you may get that swing that you are looking for.

What do you think of the other products form NTM? Redken and Kenra are great too!

You may need to experiment with some other after poo products. Always check the ingredients to make sure that you are not buying the same type of product that is giving you the breakage but just under a different name brand.

Mango butter is a good sealer for the ends. I use this as one of my staples also. I believe that the products you have are very good, just probably not what you are needing right now to combat your hair concerns. So, by all means keep them, you may need to just tweak what you are using and when you use them depending on how your hair is responding.

if u think its protein overload then moisture moisture moisture. i know my hair hates even a litle protein. maybe its the products or the relaxer, if you just did it recently

What I learned to get that swing after rollersets was first I only use water to rollerset. Then I blow dry my roots with a hand dryer. After I have sat under dryer.I put motions leave in spray or infusium leave in on my roots when I blow dry.(I'm 13wks post)
Then I put chi silk infusion on my hair and use the chi iron to straighten. After that I wrap it and put saran wrap on it and sit under dryer for ten min.I then leave it wrapped for a couple hrs and when I unwrap I have the swing.Hope that helps!:yep:
