Can anyone explain this? I'm natural and when I wear my hair in it's natural state I get bumps along my hairline and only near my neck. As soon as I straighten my hair they are gone.
What's up with that?
Maybe you're putting too much tension on your hair line in the back. This happens when I tie my hair tight in a pony or when i get braids that are a little tight.
Are you using a product containing mineral oil when curly - but not using it while straightened? Mineral oil can cause small bumps like you described. HTH
Um... I don't pull it any tighter than usual. I even loosen it up throughout the day.
I don't recall using anything with mineral oil either....I use castor oil to hold overnight and a little Eco styler in the morning when needed.
Before I flat ironed I had three strand twists in and the night before that I went to sleep with my hair lose...no bonnet and no ponytail but as soon as I washed and flat ironed the bulbs disappeared.
