Ladies....I wanted to know is it possible to braid with a peice of string.. or yarn.. to prevent the ends the hair tangling up. I always seem.. to get knots at th ends of my hair.. Which makes it hard to seperate the twists when I redo them.

That seems like it would make it worse. Thread would definitely snag your hair and/or make it virtually impossible safely remove tangles around them.

I was wondering about something similar to this. If I braid with thin ribbon, will it keep my hair from suffering from shrinkage whenever I wash? Does anyone think this will work? Has anyone tried this?
