Okay. I started my ayurvedic regi. I stopped 1 week before my relaxer. The week after my relaxer I co-washed. Today I co-washed and noticed my hair was shedding and I could see the white bulb on the end of my hair, plus my hair has thinned out in the back. What's up with that?:wallbash:

Your hair is suppose to do that. especially when you need a perm. I get scared when i see broken hair not the roots. When I see the root I feel relieved. HTH

OOH thank you girl. I was getting worried. I know why my hair thinned in the back but I wasn't use to white bulb thing.

You're suppose to shed up to 100 hair a day:ohwell: I know scary but thats what the docs say. But too much shedding can be bad too. When was your last relaxer?

did you use a protein treatment before the relaxer. I heard ayurvedic system makes you shed alot too

ApHOGEE Treatment for Damaged Hair followed by a deep moisturing conditioner. Deep conditioner is a must! This stops your hair from breaking.

your suppose to do a protein treament a week before your relaxer. When you relax your hair it breaks down the bonds and the proteins in you hair. Thus making your hair with "holes" where protein is suppose to be. When you use the protein treatment before a relaxer the protein will bond to your hair and fill in those " holes" of missing protein. This has really helped me with maintaining my grow!
