Henna Gurus: Best Before or After Relaxer?

I did my first henna treatment about a month ago. I love it. However, I am stretching my relaxer for at least another month or two, and I am curious. Is it best to do a henna treatment BEFORE or AFTER a relaxer?

Does it matter?

Should I do a henna treatment both before and after?

Is it best to do a henna treatment BEFORE or AFTER a relaxer?You henna treatment can be safely done 3 days BEFORE your relaxer, to help strengthen the hair in prep for your relaxer ( it may also help you extend your stretch, as it loosens the curl pattern more with each application). After your relaxer, you can use IMMEDIATELY or wait till your next wash. heri, thanks for answering my question. come to think of it, my stretching is going a lot much smoother than my last attempts at stretching. i attribute this to my henna treatment...it loosened my tight 4b coils.
i will definitely do another one. thanks again!

I LOVE henna but I won't do another treatment until after my next touchup...The last time I did one too close to touch up time, I shed like a mug. But that's just my experience
