I see there is a huge Henna thread out there and after reading about 3 pages of it, I realized there is no way I'll get through all of it. So my question is what are the benefits of doing Henna vs something like Sebastian Colourshines which I used once and I really love. Its in my siggy. It has lots of conditioners in it, no alcohol, no peroxide, no ammonia and it gives hair a beautiful shine! It can be used to color hair, including gray, or the clear can be used for the shine.

So does the Henna color last longer?

I really would like some input on this so I can decide whether I want to continue with the rinse or switch to Henna.

Thanks ladies!

I haven't used my colourshines in a while but I do remember that the color didn't last very long for me (but I am a very frequent washer).

I only used it once so I can't speak on the conditioning properties, I was mad the color faded so dang fast. :perplexed

I used Colourshines for about 2 years, it was messy, the color would run when I washed my hair and it faded fast. But my hair was shiny and looked great for about 3 weeks after application.

I use Henna now, its messy, its stinks but it doesn't run, my hair feels stronger, it straightens the ng a bit. My hair is shiny (after 3rd application). I love my color from henna.

The one big difference is that henna deposit color in your hair it won't wash our like colorshines.
