I am a new member; although, I have reviewed the site off and on for the last few years. I think this site is a great wealth of info and it is great that so many can come together and help each other. I started out my hair process growing out my relaxer with braids. I kept my hair natural for about 4yrs or so. I then broke down and went to the then Curve Salon and had a silkener/texturizer. It was great as my hair is extremly thick and dense. The problem was I did not live in NY so I could not go back. It wound up just having someone in IL relax my hair(not completely staight) but not a well as the NY salon. I am now living in MI and have to find a new beautician. Luckily I have finally taken out the time to braid my hair again and that will give me another 2months to find someone. Okay, this is getting long so I will cut it here. Looking forward to talking to more of you.
