How Can you tell the differance between hair shedding and breakage?

Take the strand of hair and run it down the shaft in between your thumb and index finger.

If you feel a little teeny knot (bulb) on the end or see a teeny light colored area at the end, it's shed hair.

No bulb, no teeny knot, it's broken.
 
Yeah, I agree. If it's abut the same length 0f ur hair and has a white bulb at the end, it's shed and if it d0esnt' have the bulb 0r is sh0rter , it's pr0bably br0ken.
 
Broken hair tends to be a lot shorter than shed hair. But the true indication of a shed hair is the tiny bublb at the end of the hair ...HTH
 
Thanks! I never knew the difference. I have seen some long hair with bulbs on the ends and I was thinking that oh my gosh my hair is falling out and long pieces too lol :lachen:
