oh, I forgot to add this. I use the fine toothed comb from the blowdryer attachment. I used to use the other one but I got better results with the fine toothed comb. This is why it's important to detangle your hair before you blow dry it.

When I use a dryer [very seldom], I use my Vidal Sassoon ion dryer with fine comb attachment much as you do. I air dry til my hair is almost dry, use a leave in conditioner, add a little shea butter mixed with jojoba oil, and then straighten my hair in small sections.

I have that same blowdryer, even though I don't use it much now when I did I loved the results. I even got two of friends to buy one. I also agree the best way to do it is to start at the back and work your way throuh the layers of your hair

I always blow dry my hair with a comb attachment. I know how to do it without it attached (paddle brush or seperate comb in the other hand) but it takes SO much longer and doesn't come out nearly as straight. I'm forced to do it that way when I travel and don't want to lug around my blow drier.

Even though I use a comb attachment it never comes out BONE straight. I always use a flat iron to finish the style and tame the frizzies.
