Chicago's Winters can be extremely harsh so I'm browsing for headwear on ebay ( yea, a little planning ahead

). Most of the hats I've seen are 100%, or mostly, made with cotton..which isn't good for hair because it absorbs moisture. How do you guys line your hats and headwear with silk, satin, or other non absorbing/harmful material?

Heard it is good to put a piece of satin inside of your hats. I have a few knitted hats and I sewed satin material inside of the hait so that I can still wear them in the winter.

That's exactly what I do. I get those satin wrap do rags, cut em up and sew them in!
