I wanted to try Soft and Beautiful but I heard it's VERY drying, so I'm going back to Creme of Nature, but I haven't found a set relaxer yet.

Which do you prefer btwen SE and Affirm?

Affirm hands down. But I must say they are the two best relaxers I've ever used, number one and two. Can't go wrong with either one.

If I could get the entire Affirm system, I would use that instead of Mizani. Does anyone know where I can order the Affirm (lye) system on line without a license? The BSS here all require a license to buy Affirm.

I've used:

Optimum no-lye (for years and years)
Dudley lye (1 year)
Elasta qp lye (about a year)
Creme of nature lye (once and threw the rest away)
Dark and Lovely no-lye (once)

Can't remember them all, but:

Optimum No Lye - too drying
Gentile Treatment No Lye - again too drying
Affirm Regular - nice relaxer with good conditioning
Mizani - HATED THIS. My hair was crispy and felt like brillo
Elucence Regular - best I have ever used, but MY STYLIST DOES NOT CARRY ANYMORE!
Elasta QP - did not like - hair did not feel soft
Phyto Index II - I wanted to like this, but it plastered to my head - hard to rinse out.
Silk Elements - too harsh for me.
ORS Lye Regular - under-processed
ORS Super - Decent
Design Essentials - did not love, under-processed
Vitale High Comfort - current relaxer. I like the results. Not too harsh and gets me just straight enough with out overprocessing.

BUT ELUCENCE WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE!

I want to try Mizani, Affirm fiberguard, and Alter Ego (not sure I will try any of these though). The reviews on Mizani Butter Blends tempted me when I was natural Got back in to relaxers... that should have been the first thing I tried, but noooooo it had to be Silk Elements Lye, which I will probably never use again.
