How many times do you cowash before you need to clarify

I just had my first successful co wash last week thanks to vo5 passionfruit conditioner. I bought about 10 bottles of assorted vo5 conditioners and I want to use them up. I was thinking of only co washing for awhile. How long do you usually co wash before you need to use shampoo?

I shampoo once a week and I clarify once a month. I need to clarify this week too.

After about 5-7 cowashes (basically a weeks worth) it's time to bring out the shampoo. Once i shampoo my hair pops back to life and makes my curls more defined.

I cowash only, and if you don't want to use shampoo, you can clarify your hair by adding about a teaspoon of baking soda to your conditioner - it seems to work just as well as the clarifying shampoos, and it still doesn't strip my hair of it's oils.
