Human hair braids

Has anyone done there own human hair braids? Was it hard? How long did they last? Can you post pics? Thanks!

I do mine all the time. I redo them as needed so they could last forever. The ones I have in, I did in April 2007. It's not hard once you've had some practice. One difficulty you might have when you first start doing them yourself is keeping the extension hair from sliding up your own hair and away from the base as you braid. But in time you get better and are able to do this w/o pulling on your own hair. I started by practicing on someone else, my sis being a great guinea pig. Then I would redo the braids I had professionally done on myself only the back where no one could see my clumsy work. In time, I got better and so would get a stylist to do them first and I'd redo them as needed myself, over and over so I'd wear them for a long time. And then one day I "fired" the stylist and did them from scratch and I have never looked back.

Here are the braids from April 2007. I used Beverly Johnson Wet and Wavy 20" in 1B. I got two packs but only used 1 pack and 1/8 of the other.
