So I currently have cornrows that's been in for 2 weeks. I told myself that I would wait until I took them out to wash my hair ...big mistake  , because now I have product buildup! Please, somebody tell me what should I do to control this future breakage :( . (Tomorrow is wash day)

wait is your hair breaking now? I'm a little confused.
Are you relaxed? Did you wash your cornrows every day or something?

I can say that you should be very delicate with your hair when taking out the cornrows. Don't just rip them out or something, treat your hair like lace and calmly and slowly detangle one at a time. It you have buildup at the base of the braids, use your fingers to loosen up the knots. You may have to slowly pull your hair our one by one if necessary. Just be gently so you don't lose a lot of hair.
Make sure you use a moisturizing deep conditioner after you take them out (probably the most important)

I haven't took them out but I will tomorrow! I have been messing with them and I have noticied a lot of product buildup. Are you suggesting that I pre-poo with the conditioner and then wash?

Once they're out, maybe try a clarifying shampoo followed up by a good deep conditioning.

I agree with this. A clarifying shampoo will remove your build up and help the deep conditioner work better.
