... but somehow I ended up with 17. I went to the Braid shop on Sunday and asked the lady to put in 8 cornrows. I am wearing a half-wig and wanted to protect my hair for the next 4 weeks. Well, I handed her two packs of Kankelon hair and she replied you don't need that much hair, if we put too much hair in it will be too stressful on your hair. I just understood that we were'nt going to use much hair for the 8 cornrows, fine. Then....
I knew something was going wrong when I she came parting and parting and all the time I thought she was on the last cornrow. Well, by the time I looked in the mirrow I had 17 cornrows about the size of half a pencil. I was really upset, but because I'm nice and I know she meant well, I paid her and left.

Now days later, I am still thinking that these braids may the pulling my hair out. I don't want to have my ends clipped anymore this year. I swear I have lost about 3 inches because my ends were badly damage from those tree braids. Evey since then my main focus was to keep an eye on my ends.
Has anyone had any major shedding from small cornrows? Should I go back and ask her to do them over or should I wait it out? How can I protect my ends as to avoid another trim in December for my completion of "hiding til Christmas"?
It's situation like this that upsets me. All that hard work that I put into my ends this year to have someone mess it up in one day - because she thinks she knows what is best for my hair.
Again, Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
