hi ladies, i don't really post alot, i mainly lurk. i originally started out just stretching my relaxers as i'd regularly become a every 4-6 week retoucher due to my beautician in high school telling me i had to get a touch out every 6 weeks or my hair would break off. i discovered the dominican salons, and was easily able to obtain straight hair without the frequent relaxers. i started to notice my hair retaining length, and was soon the longest it had ever been in my life and i no longer had dry itchy scalp or dandruff. i realized that the relaxers were irritating my scalp, and decided to transition to natural.

my original goal was to transition until my natural hair was bsl or my curly hair was sl or apl. the first year of my transition went smoothly until i decided to get highlights, and my hair went haywire. it became extreamly dry despite weekly/biweekly deep conditioning treatments and steaming and started to break off. i realized my hair was practically natural due to the amount of breakage. i couldn't style it, and could only wear a ponytail. so, i decided to just go for the bc today. i went to a salon, and they cut it all off. i felt like i should've had alot more hair, but i guess the color damaged alot of the natural hair also. its weird looking in the mirror. :lachen:
but, anyways, i just wanted to share my pics.

You have beautiful hair.

Bleaching is very hard on the hair, very drying. I got highlights when I was in high school when I was a straight natural and my hair was fine, but it was very dry. I think it's best to highlight your hair when it's fully natural.

Nonetheless, your hair look good.

Looks beautiful and the color looks good even though you had problems with it, hopefully when my time comes to chop chop I'll have the b*lls to do it lol

You are my BC twin. I BCed a year ago today! Congrats! Your hair looks great and I really like the highlights.

thanks everyone. i was unsure of the color, as the intended color was a caramel brown and ended up being blonde. it took me a while to get used to it. thanks for the compliments.
