and I got weave checked today. My nosey, annoying male coworker walks by my desk and says "your hair look good girl." Then he doubles back, sneaks up behind me and yanks my hair hard, I was bout to smack him. He was like "Im just making sure it ain't a wig." I dont even have length yet and folk doing weave checks. :lachen:

Oh you are nicer than me!! Congrats on the check, but I wish a mutha would walk up and yank my hair. I would NOT be the woman to pull that stunt with!!!

You don't seem to be bothered by it, so you're a better woman than me. Why do people feel it is acceptable to do that, how about just paying a compliment and leaving it at that? Does it really matter if it's a weave? If that had been me his @$$ would have been laid out on the floor, I hate my personal space being invaded...

I'm boiling mad just reading this thinking of somebody yanking my hair. Just imagine if it WAS a wig and it came off?

But that's a good thing to get weave checked. It's probably because your hair looked nice and full. So congrats on that!! But he would have got a swift slap across his nose for pulling my hair hard like that :yep:

Ummm, you need to check him. It is inappropriate for a co-worker to be putting their hands on you, period. And what if you were wearing a wig? So, he would have thought it ok to yank it off?

lol, I'm just mad coz if it WAS a wig, it would've come off, right? Then what would he have done??? Put it back? :drunk::lachen:

Every time I hear about this I am shocked. That is so invasive. Next time grab his crotch and say "just wanted to make sure you weren't stuffing" then mutter under your breath " . . .with the world's tiniest sock"

Glad that your hair is looking good though.

Im glad your hair is doing well and looking nice..

But if that was me...I would be talking about how I hurt somebody today for putting his fingers in my hair, what is his problem.. and so what if it is a weave?? :nono:

This is soo upsetting

I still don't get this. Just like I've never got why people touch a pregnant woman's belly. :perplexed I don't let people invade my personal space like that though... don't even stand too close to me. This is America, you need to keep that 18-inch radius of distance if we are not familiar with each other.

*off topic* I was standing in line the other day. Why was this woman so close up on me that her boob was touching my elbow?!

Yeah, see those are the people I turn around, glare at like they're nuts, and say, "Excuse me." It usually confuses the heck out of them too, if you excuse yourself while glaring at them. But it usually gets them to say, "Oh, excuse me," back... and the important part - they stop touching you and give you some space. :yep:

the back is just shoulder length and the sides (where I had a setback from a sew-in) are about 1 inch past EL.

Oh ok. Well, his need for a weave check must be a testament to how healthy your hair is. Its not always about length.

The yanking part is crazy--hmm.....If it was a wig that would have been humilitating. I am gonna have get masterlock clips on my half wigs now.

Congratulations, the health of your hair.

Ok... ya'll know we're in a recession. She can't be losing her job over a weave check. He'd be losing his though--after I reported him to human resources.
