For those that Remember me Signaturebeauty AKA Nappyparadise, I had been back and forth with my Natural for years, and would always give in & Relax my hair, But NOT THIS TIME! I made it to a Year & I am looking forward to seeing what I get in 2 Years, ALL MY PICS ARE NAKED HAIR PICS! I have no products in my hair at all, so that's why it Looks Dry, I think I did Ok as far as growth for a Year! I didn't have a Set Routine & My hair was so Picky with Products & everything I purchased just didn't work or made it even drier, so I just shampooed & condition weekly & did protein every 6 weeks or so or as needed & wore a wig for awhile, I realized that I just Naturally have thin edges so I just gotta deal with it! But I Just wanted to share with Ya'll before I go MIA Again & I will come back In June with an Update! :grin:

Oh wow GREAT progess girlie! I was just thinking of you the other day...wondering how you were. Now I know you were off getting your grow on! ;)
 
Congrats it looks really good, light and airy, no really dry. I actually looks like it feels soft. KUTGW

1. Do you use heat? Did you blow dry after washing weekly?
2. How often did you protective style?
3. When picking or blowing out that gorgeous fro, did you have any breakage? I have to take my time whenever I wear a fro or curls will pop right off my doggone head :ohwell:
4. Do you wear your hair out often or just do the wigs or braids?

 2. How often did you protective style? I Protective Styled Daily By Wearing A Wig Even With My Twa, Then When It Grew Long Enough To Cornrow I Did That & Still Wore My Wig!

3. When picking or blowing out that gorgeous fro, did you have any breakage? I have to take my time whenever I wear a fro or curls will pop right off my doggone head :ohwell:- I Would Pick My Hair Out Once A Week With A Plastic Wide Tooth Pick & I Didn't Get Any Breakage, I Actually Used Rain Water That I Saved Every time It Rained & Spritzed It As A Detangler & It Helped That Pick Glide Thru With No Problems, I Still Would Get That Normal Shedding But No Breakage, I Also Done Protein Treatments Too To Keep It Strong!


4. Do you wear your hair out often or just do the wigs or braids? I Don't Wear My Hair Out At All, It Is Always Either Under A Wig Or In French Braids Like My Avitar Pic, But In June For My 37th B-Day I Am Gonna Go & Get It Flat Ironed To See How It Looks! :yep:

But air drying is definitely a good move :yep: I airdry in twists and it's helped me a lot. I should probably wear my hair out less but I need to wear a fro for some of my costumes. Other than that I stay in twists or braids, either out or under a wig :yep:

If you're going to get it flat ironed by a stylist, make sure it's someone you trust so you don't get heat damage. I'm definitely a do-it-yourself advocate.
 
BlkOnyx488! LOL! Yes It Was Hard, Im not even gonna Lie, Every time I went to the BSS I was looking at Relaxers, Now I can go in there With No Problems & Not even give them A Second Look! But it was Hard, I took Pics only every few Months, and then sometime I would forget to even take pics! But even though I couldn't really see the growth others did & I kept on Going! I can't even tell you how many times I wanted to throw in the towel, but I was like Im not Big Chopping anymore OR Going Back & Forth with the Relaxer, I just kept losing progress doing that BS, I had to have a Pep talk with myself LOL!
 
Great job!! Beautiful progress for only a year!!! And it's great that you stuck it out this time. I hope you enjoy this coming year even more!

Thank You Girl! I am gonna enjoy it More This Year, Im gonna try to see what products it likes now since it didn't like much products in the Past!

Thank You! Yes You Will, You Will Hit That Growth Spurt, Just Don't Do Too Much To It & Worry About It Too Much, Jet Let It Flow, Thats why I had to leave the Board for awhile, I kept seeing others Growth & was getting Discouraged with my own and would just wanna give up, You will be Fine, And I can't wait to see Your One Year Growth! You will be Amazed when You Look Back On It!
