Tricking the president
after thinking about this off and on for 2 years, i have finally decided to dye my hair again. its been about 4 years since I have dyed my hair. I bought Textures & Tones in Bronze. I relaxed my hair last Saturday (more like texturized because it is severely underprocessed) and want to color it next Saturday, so that should be two weeks. My hair is a dark brown right now (lightened by relaxers) and i am aiming for a lghter brown. my ideal shade would be what Kitchen_Tician got when she did hers. anyone have any advice for me to optimize my coloring experience? should i do a light protein treatment afterwards (i.e. Aubrey's GPB)? if so, should that be before or after the conditioner? any other tips would he helpful as well

I think a lot of people who color use Porosity Control Conditioner by Roux to help balance out the color. The site says the product was "specially formulated to equalize hair's porosity and prevent color and perm shock".

Also, make sure you do moisturizing treatments since color can be very drying.

Hope others can help out.
