I know there are many posts out there about silk infusion but I just felt compelled to share. As I was returning from school I got caught in an unexpected rain storm and had no umbrella. I just flat ironed my hair Sunday so I was dissapointed to have it ruined by the rain. All I had to cover my hair was the cardigan that I was wearing and threw over my head. I'll admit I wasn't in the rain long but I expected to look like a poodle by the time I got home. When I got home I was scared to look in the mirror and when I finally did I was shocked my hair is basically frizz free. There are just small sections that frizzed but they aren't even noticeable. I'm so shocked because my hair poofs at the sight of water. I didn't need another reason to love silk infusion but I guess I just did. Sorry that was long. I'm so excited I had to share:) .

I might have to try this Chi Silk Infusion.Ive heard nothing but great things about it.

OT-Your hair is too pretty.:)

I luvluvluv Chi Silk Infusion:D :D :D It is actually helping a great deal with stretching relaxers. I might even transition, it makes that much of a difference!

sorry dumb question but what is it?:perplexed is it a conditioner or a moisturizers and how do you use it?

Its a heat protectant used while flat ironing/hot curling.

Most purchase it from JC Penneys.

i love it too but it's so dang expensive!

I used it before using the curling iron and I loved the way it made my hair feel... but like you said... I hate that it is so expensive!

Ummmm! can somebody help me figure out how to actually use this. I have a small bottle of this stuff but i really didn't like it. I washed conditioned, moisturized and used then used the chi. I combed it after I flat ironed that part and it was crackly like always when I flat iron. I thought this stuff was going to make a difference but it didn't. So maybe I just don't know how to use it right. How do you use it?

Watch out for the sales @ JCP..Igot mine on clearance for less than half the price for the large bottle..plus some other products that I don't use-It came in a gift basket..yeah I stocked up:grin:
I use mine on dry hair..as I section each piece to flat iron I apply the CHI along the hair before I use the flat iron on my hair

Thanks. I use it after my leave-in before rollersetting as a serum then apply a tiny bit more before flat ironing to protect from heat.

I'm gonna have to get me some of this CSI: it is rather expensive which is all the more reason why I should flat iron my hair less and less: I use Lacio Lacio for rollerset: I'll baggy all week, then the next I'll rollerset and then baggy again: cuz the price of lacio is not cheap either.

is the silk infusion you all are raving about as a heat protectant the same as the silk infusion protein reconstructor. i've been using the chi silk infusion protein reconstructor alongside my leave-in, but now im wondering if it is just a heat protectant serum than am i using it wrong?

When I flat iron i just add a dab to each section of hair, from roots to tip. Then run the CHI iron over it.

Ladies - Can I use this to rollerset and sit under the dryer?:)

I have never used it this way, I always use my leave in and rollerset. I then add CSI to each section as I flat iron. I am not sure how that will work, so I don't want to tell you yes or no. Hopefully, there will be some more responses...

I have used it to rollerset since it made my hair feels so nice when I flat iron it I figured I'd get atleast half the softness with csi. I didn't notice any major results it acted as a serum. I think it does make my hair a bit softer.
