Okay so I'm on the Hide Your Hair Until Xmas Challenge
But I have been going crazy everytime I look at my raggedy ends
So I said you know what
I cant do this anymore
I guess I'm off the challenge b/c I am about to show pictures
I needed it desperately
And I am satisfied but geez its like all this I just worked on since April is gone
I must say, I am a little down
But Go to my fotki, starting from the end of page 2 you can see from what it was, to what it is now

I know exactly how you feel. :( But your hair looks GREAT....nice thick and HEALTHY. I try to remember that healthy short hair looks alot better then stringy long hair. You'll reach your hair goals in no time!!! :)

I think 80% of the people who join challenges fall off the bandwagon here and there, but as long as you maintain a healthy head of hair, you won anyway!

You're entitled to complain! We all do. But I must say, your hair looks so full and thick and lush. The trim definitely did NOT take away from its beauty.

I totally agree. I know it sucks, but it was for the best! Look at it as a clean slate. And don't be down! Your hair is gorge. I LOVE your braid out & twist pics. Your hair looks great. Just keep up the good work.

I think it looks great, and the hair you cut off looked like it needed to get cut of anyway, I think it will grow alot better now too, your hair looks thick and healthy
 
Your ends look terrific! Sorry you're sad. I was sad after my 1.5 inch trim in March, but now I can't wait to do it again. I'm on a no trim until Dec challenge, but I have to 2 inches of strangly ends that need to go.

it was just strangly and horrific
but it IS hard

not to join my misery (lol jk) but because it just gets worst
and i coulda cut off less but i told that man cut what is needed b/c im going to get attached to a length i'm going to have to cut anyway!!!

Ebony, the trim looks GREAT!!! I really mean that! :) There's nothing prettier than fresh, bluntly cut ends. I know you had been wanting to do this for a while, so i know it probably felt good (aside from the very normal, initial post-trimming anxiety).

Now that you are starting from this healthy place, just make a vow to yourself that, from this point forward, you will ONLY dust, and as needed.

It can only go up from here, sis!!! :D Happy Continued Hair Growing, darling!!!!

b/c the stylist told me to come every 2 months and im like noooooo, you're gonna cut off what i grow every time!!!!

Okay, I can honestly say I know your frustration right now. Check out my fotki if you dont belive me.

I had my hair cut in June and I was so down. Tears fell as I watched my hair hit the floor. But now, 3 monts later. My hair is really growing and it looks better with the blunt even length.

Your hair really looks nice, healthy, and thick now. Just watch it grow! I use to hate to hear people say....it will grow back. But it will grow back. :) Not only that, it will grow back better than before. Hugs. Hang in there lady.
 
Your hair is so thick, and healthy, don't feel down I know a cut is hard to take but you'll get those 2" back in no time, just moisturize and bun it, put it away for a while when you check back bam-more hair.

the first thing i did with my hair was put it in a bun!!
i dont even wanna see it down!!!
and i just cornrowed it last night and i have those braids up up up, i must maintain my ends
i hope it works!!!!

I had to do it too. I grew all this hair and looked down and had a split ended mess.

But you know - the fact that you grew it in the first place should let you know it WILL grow back.

Not to mention, your braidouts look fantastic!

I did the same thing as you. I put it up with a clip as soon as I left the beauty shop. AS SOON AS. I didnt even want to look at it. After that, I bunned, bunned, and bunned some more. I hated it.

i just cant wait for the day when its brastrap
my hair has never even been APL!!!!!
