I want to texturise my hair

I'm thinking to switch from relaxer to texturiser.

Do I have to cut my relaxed hair off?

I'm currently relaxed with Olive Oil moisturiser but would like texturise to get more of a curl to my hair.

Also any ideas on which texturiser to use?

Probably. If you don't cut the relaxed ends there may be an obvious texture difference and demarcation line where the relaxer ends.

I don't know a texturizer to recommend.

Iwant to swich from relaxer to texturiser but I have the same questions ....
I use Just for me texture softener for my DD (but she was natural ...)
Cecilie .

I wanna know the same as well.

Since I texlax: my hair revert to curls when wet and very easy to straighten.

But I want to use a texturizer for more curl definition

did you see what kind of texture you have first:perplexed

i hear that texturisers can dry out the hair and may cause damage
my co worker had one and she says it doesnt last long at all

Well, problem is this: A texturizer releases the curl - but the curl pattern is still there. A relaxer removes the curl pattern. So if you want the curl pattern, you'll either need to cut your hair and then texturize it, or grow out the relaxer and cut it as you go along - applying the texturizer to the new growth only. Once the curl pattern is gone, you can't get it back. I use JFM Texture Softener, and I left it on too long in the front of my head, and I have an entire section of hair that's straight and won't curl. You can look at my fotki to see if this is the look you're trying to achieve.
