LOL ...It's not as bad as it seems...I make two sections in my hair and tie it in a knot....then I clip it...I have my hair in a knot in my siggy

I thiink it was cute and it was only for her wedding and she's white so her hair is totally different, i don't think it will damage it at all

Doesn't look that bad to me. they aren't tiny small knots but big loose ones. i'm sure they will come apart very easily. I didn't really like the look, though.

i wouldn't dare try it on my natural hair.

but for my relaxed or straightish hair it shouldn't be a problem :)

I want to see the video of the bride taking it down after a day of wedding-related activities. It's easy enough to tie this and pin that, but show me ol' girl unpinning and untying.

Me too. I imagine it would be a tangled mess.

check out this video with a 'protective' updo!!!!!

Will you ever sit there any let somebody tie actual knots in yo head??? lol:wallbash:
just had to share. i didnt watch it to the end...my stomach couldnt take it :lachen:

I think that's perfectly fine for her hair type because those knots will come out easily. But that style would be a natural hair no-no. . Might be able to do it if you're relaxed and long though.

If your hair is healthy those knots will come out with no problem. I have done 2 knots on my hair and my hair is natural.

OMG!!!!!

When I saw her do the shoe string knots my stomach starting to lurch!

NEVAHHHHHHH!!!

It was gorgeous though.

my sentiments precisely :lachen:
I airdry my hair, and i have a hard enough time managing it without intentionally knotting it up. In practice, it probably wont cause too much damage, but i just wont hold up to the psychological trauma id have all day...LOL. At this rate, i might have to do my own hair for my wedding :lachen:

I thought the end result looked like a mess. I would be afraid that some of those knots would really knot up and be hell to undo. Not my type of hair do.

I liked the loose shoe string ties better.

The other knots looked pretty, but I think they would be a detangling nightmare, especially if the stylist goes overboard with the hair spray (and after the wedding night). :look:

It wasnt that bad...I guess you just have to be careful when taking it out so as not to get the hair tangled up.

Me too. ____ girl hair never really looks styled. Everytime they go to formal events they do that weird renissance hair like the knots or end up with limp "curls":ohwell:

I don't know if I would want to take the chance that my hair might decide to act up and end up with a sore scalp and jagged hair...But for some folks, it might work.

Interestingly enough, if you listen to the background the song playing is Gnarles Barkley-Crazy. I couldn't help but chuckle a little

I don't think it's a matter of healthy hair--I think it's a matter of hair that tangles easily. I wouldn't do it because my hair tangles like crazy.

Hmmm, no I wouldn't even try doing something like this on my own hair, but I would do it if I was using some yaki weave, but not my own hair!!:lachen::lachen::lachen:It knots up and won't come out, I'd just cut the sucka out! But either way it goes, the end result is really beautiful!!

this comment got me going  didnt think of that :lachen::lachen:

The end results was cute, but I woudn't let anyone put all those knots in my head...now she's gonna have to pay someone to take the crap out:down:

This is the same thing I was thinking.

Ohh, it's not that bad. It's actually quite pretty. I think the key is that the stylist is not really *tying knots* so much as she's just looping the hair. Also the model's hair texture is so silky the knots should come out pretty easily.
