Is kinky twists the same type of twists that people are doing on their hair? Do u need extensions to do this or is it able to be done on your natural hair? Sorry still learning- help the newbie out, please?

No this is not a stupid question. Kinky twists normally refers to a type of hairstyle that is done with extensions. The hair is "kinky" and they two-strand twist it. People who do the kinky twists are basically achieving the same look that people with natural hair do when they two-strand twist their hair. Naturals that do this style often do it for 3 reasons (they might do it for all three reasons or just one):
1. As a protective style
2. To make their hair look longer
3. To add fullness to their hair
