For the ladies who wash their hair and pull it back in a pony tail and wear it naturally dry with no flat iron, what leave in conditioners and gel/pomades do you use?

I use the CHI Keratin mist and then Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship conditioner, leaves me with soft hair :)

I do that a lot. My hair actually thrives when I do this on a regular basis.

I like to use Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship split end cream and a little coconut oil. I put that in while its soaking wet, then pull back into ponytail /bun and let it airdry. I usually just leave it there all week until its time to wash again.

My hair loves to be left alone and it does really well when I do this.

if i do use a leave in it'll be giovanni. But mostly i'll just wash/condition/ then use some type of styling cream like:
qhemet burdock or olive oil cream
Aveda brilliant styling cream

then i'll use a gel for the ponytail to scrunch and set like:
ecostyler gel
qhemet's gel (forget the name)

eta: oh yes. I do use chi keratin mist on the edges or the slicked back part

I use both together. Leaves my hair sooo soft when it dries.

I do a creamy leave in(Redken Smooth Down, or Alba)
A serum( One n Only Argan Oil)
Gel(Kinky Curly Curling Custard)

I use my mix of aloe vera juice, glycerin, water and vo5 and then i seal with any oil in my reach (coconut, olive, castor, carrot, etc). I used to use scurl and just a bit of oil.

i use blended beauty light styling lotion, a dab of hair oil (olive oil, jojoba, castor oil mix), garnier sleek and shine leave in (same one as above),

i will add garnier curl creme if i am wearing a curly ponytail.

sometimes i use joico smoothing balm instead of garnier OR garnier sleek and shine anti frizz serum if i plan to take the hair down and flat iron after it's dry. (both these products are lighter than the sleek and shine leave in)

i also use herbal essence long term relationship and seal with olive oil, leaves me with the most softest moisturized airdried ponytail ever. and i've tried a LOT of leave ins.

I use a liquid leave-in directly after shampooing, and let it soak in for about 45 minutes (this is a good time to use your fav liquid "juice"). :yep: Then I apply a creamy leave-in, a serum, gel the edges down, and tie down with a scarf. I'm good to go!

I use a heavy moisturizing condish for the wash, apply a watery spray leave-in, a cheapie condish (like VO5 Strawberries 'N Cream) as a leave-in as well, along with HS 14-N-1, S-Curl, and moisturizing gel with aloe vera gel & olive oil in it. I may also apply a shea butter, mango butter, or olive oil creme. Then, I'll seal with an oil and apply a serum on top for shine and extra sealing. For me, it's largely due to products + technique. I MUST use a satin scarf on top of damp hair pulled into a bun to get it all to "lay down" and to get the edges smooth, despite being 9+ mos post. Sylver2's scarf method has been a trick I've used for years now. I use it when wearing a bun or if I want to wear my hair down with a headband, because I always air-dry.

co-signing on HE's LTR leave in conditioner + EVCO. But honestly... as long as it's a creamy consistency it works well. And for me, my pony tail has to be soaking wet. If I blot my hair to become damp/dry-ish it gets frizzy :(

Neutrogena Triple Moisture. Most of the time i'll use Infusium 23 Moisturologie leave in first to help detangle.

I'm yet to wear it in a real pony but for a pulled back puff as seen here, I use S Curl No Drip Spray Curl Activator.

LTR is the best I have found and I have tried NTM, Garnier, Qhemet, Lacio, etc. Will keep your hair moisturized for days. I don't even seal it and it has GREAT staying powere ( I really try to avoid layering leave ins if I can). If you use the scarf method with LTR it will make your hair lay right down.
