if you're relaxed, how do you co-wash your hair everday?

I also do this often and I use Reniece Satin Scarf Wrap Technique and my roots are straight in the morning and my ends are a little damp but soft and moisturized. I don't use a rubber dand or anything, just the satin scarf does the trick.

Works for my relaxed hair.

I'm mostly relaxed and when I CW'd my hair didn't like it at all. My texture is already very soft and fine so :ohwell:.....I dunno it just didn't seem right. So, I just wash it and rollerset it once a week now during the winter. Since I am transitioning, I may revisit cowashing once I get a substantial amount of ng and give it another chance.

I've been co-washing daily to every other day lately. To minimize manipulation I:
- put my hair in a single braid going backwards
- rinse with water and scrub the scalp a lit with finger pads
-coat hair with conditioner
-wash body, face etc.
- rinse

my hair never leaves the braid. After I get out i'll blot/pat it dry with towel, undo the braid and smoothe leave in and coconut oil. No frequent combing needed since because i'm not washing it loose my hair does not get a chance to tangle up.

Great thread. I always wondered about this too. I could see the bunning, but does anybody's hair start to break where the hair band is? I'm aiming for BSL and I would wash and airdry 1x a wk. then bun but I noticed my hair on the sides didn't retain any length although the back did. I moisturized very regularly and kept it off of my clothes. So I figured the the hair band had to be the culprit although i didn't wear it very tight. What do you ladies think?

When I do my buns, I don't use a hairband anymore. I only use the Goodhairdays pins, which is perfect cause they hold without pulling. I had breakage a couple years ago from doing a wet ponytail in the same spot all the time.

I like your cw technique. I will have to try doing it with a braid this summer. I do cw often in the summer.

Depending on when I actually do it, I will wear a wash and go or a flat twistout, braidout, bun or bantu knot set.

I am very flexible with my hair and I move fast when styling so it's no big deal.

[Now L. That was simple and self explanatory and your hair looks beautiful. I love my hair straight and the air dry didn't work for my bob. I got depressed and went to Dominican Salon for wash, roller set, and a little blow dry then wrap. My hair was stunning the following day. However, day two and my scalp is a "little itchy, but if I put any oil, my scalp will get irrated. Please advise.
