I am sooo nervous about my hair.. i just got a dominican blowout and im gettn the open mouth jawed looks at my hair..he he he .. anyway in a bout a week in gonna have to wash my hair and my hair is gonna go right back to the state it was... dry and tangly..

The thing is im 5 mo post relaxer and the two textures r driving me insane..manily because when i shed hair it gets stuck where the two textures meet.

I bought Giovanni deeper moisture conditioner and Giovanni Hair reconstructer, to see if this will help my hair out lol.. How do i use these two products??

Im thinking of doing a hot oil treatment..also to see if this helps. i have peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemarry and coconut....my questions are how do you do hot oil treaments? and what are the benefits?

Help a Sista Out Please!!!!!...lol

If you know the shed hair is getting stuck, then just detangle more. I detangle under the shower stream and that helps me get the shed hair out.

I used to use Giovanni deeper moisture conditioner. I would just put it on dry hair (I used a lot), twist my hair is some big twists, put on a plastic cap, and then either work out for an hour or leave it on overnight. I would detangle while I rinsed, and that worked very well for me.

I don't do hot oil treatments so I can't help you there. I do use castor oil slathered on with a plastic cap overnight sometimes. That works well for me.

hot oil treatments dont work for me and i've never used the two products you mentioned but i have been transitioning for a long time and heres how i deal with it.

if you pre poo with a conditioner its easy to detaingle the hair before you hop in the shower.
after you shampoo and before you deep condition you can slather your hair in a light oil like grapeseed or coconut oil and that makes detaingling a breeze and then you can deep condition.
i then blow dry and flat iron. but even when i wet bun dont get tangles because i use a great detaingler like ojon revitalizing mist and then a cream leave in and then oil and then i put my hair in one braid and the bottom of my head and pin it up. in the morning i take a denman brush and lightly brush my hair up into a ponytail. i then remoisturize.

Nice job, where did you get the hat from??:lachen:

Thanks msa.. the problem with detangliling is i feel like im pulling hair out if i detangle any harder than i have been... and have you used any other Giovanni products and if so..how???

Thanks in advance.

The cheapest and easiest detangler I've ever used was any Clairol Herbal Essence conditioner. It's been tested for great slippage by many haircare divas. Try that. There's no waiting an hour for to overnight for any benefits. Wash hair with diluted shampoo or co-wash, slather on Clairol, give it 2-3 min., then use a Jilbere shower comb or another big comb with smooth teeth. That's it.

i find that the best detangler for me is creme of nature shampoo... the old stuff in the off-white bottle not that new orange bottle organic mess

Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner is :lick:

It melts tangles and really leaves my hair moisturized. Make sure you don't go overboard on the moisture though. Try doing a protein treatment as well if you have not tried that yet. I use Aphogee 2 Minute Keratin Reconstructor as a light protein or Nexxus Emergencee as a hard protein. It's awesome that you have stretched your relaxer for 5 months! HTH
