Hair for me.. Ive been working on my length this year and yes it has grown..

but I havent kept my ends trimmed, and although it doesnt look bad I think I could do more for the overall health..

Sooooo.. Im jan Im gonna chop like 1 1/2 inches and go from there :D

Im still striving for Mid Back for the end of next year but... I want it to be even and sexyfied by time I get there :D

You know, this sounded just like me up to that "chop like 1 1/2 inches" part

But we are >>>there<<<. My focus for the new year will definitely be on health and not so much on length.

My ends dont look that great and I want a more defined cut... so I will cut about at least an inch off.. Maybe less... But I only allow stylists to cut my hair dry ...

Your ends do NOT need 1.5" chopped off, Khandi!!!!  *looking around for my switch* :whip:

But seriously though, yeah I totally feel you on healthy hair.... theres nothing like it! :) But are u sure you need to take off that much, that soon? By the time you reach MBL it wont be blunt anymore just because of the natural growth rate, ya know? Id take off just the thinner/split ends now, and wait to do a "blunt" cut once you've reached your ultimate goal!

Yeah I feel like my hair has been growing also.....but I been on this no trim tip and everytime I go get a relaxer they are like "girl you need a trim" and I am like "No! only if absoutely necessary and as very little as possible" But...I dont want to sabatoge my success with splits.....so I may get a good trim with my next relaxer....which will probably be just before thanksgiving

I just trimed my hair for the first time in 7 months. I only trimed 1/4" but my twists looked so cute without the dangling strands and knots. Hair growth will come--my first priority is to have healthy hair.

Mama, you aint said nothing but a word. I have been contemplating the exact same thing and I was going to start a thread about it too. I am dying for Jan '07 to roll around so I can get a deep trim. My ends look like **** and if I am sacrificing shoulder length as a result... THEN SO BE IT! Damn length, it's all about health in '07.

I am so incredibly thankful for LHCF. I have some thick hair, and it was very long when I was younger. But the older I got the more you are taught to trim at every relaxer and I was wondering why it wasnt getting any longer :wallbash:. So my goal for 07' is consistancy. Consistancy in my vitamins and general hair and health care. I will stretch my relaxer to 12 weeks( any longer and my thick hair just breaks off). And I will only do 2 majors trims a year and some dusting(didnt know about this until LHCF) as needed. I just had a major trim a week ago, and I will get my relaxer Dec 2 (Im counting the days) so I can post my first pictures. :yay:

I'm still chasing apl in 2007, but I'm in total agreement in regards to having healthy hair. My hair hasn't increased a lot in length...but it has completely turned around in the past two years...main focus is to maintain and improve appearance in 07, then worry about length.

It'll come eventually...;)
