Thanks to all of you ladies, my hair has really been thriving since I've been coming to LHCF. My friends and family want to tease me because I'm forever buying this hair product or doing a treatment to my hair or something, but the work is paying off. Now these same people are starting to take notice and comment on how nice my hair looks.
I am now an official a DIY-er.
I've been self-relaxing for a few months now - still working on perfecting my technique - but I'm pleased with how my relaxers have been coming out for me to have been doing them myself. I finished my first self-trim. I was nervous about cutting my own hair, but my ends were nothing nice and I don't trust stylists with scissors no more.
I cut off about 1 inch and my ends already feel so much better. When I flat ironed, my hair came out wonderfully.
And ya'll done turned me out on the Aveda too. I used the Universal Styling Creme as a moisturizer before flat-ironing and wooooooooow. It is so moisturizing. Now the real test will be when I go out into the elements (I'm currently in humid FL) to see if this Anti-humectant is worth its price tag.
I don't have any pics... Can't find my digicam, but I'll put some up soon. Thanks again, ladies! I'm loving the independence to be able to care for my own hair and have it look good.
