Hi I was wondering if anyone knows how effective conair or vidal sassoon irons are on oue hair? Are there any other brands that do a pretty good job with ethnic hair (particularly relaxed 4a/b) - other than Gold n' Hot?

TIA!

I put my LIFE on the Helen of Troy irons. They heat quick and you really only need one pass for the hair to get straight and stay straight!!

So nobody here besides BABYGIRL uses anything besides Gold n' Hot? I wanted to buy a crimper or a 3 barrael waver... but I'm not sure I want to shell out so much for a Gold n' Hot when I won't use it often.

What other brands do people find are good?

Thanks for your response BABYGIRL!

I used to use a ConAir iron.I have 4b relaxed hair that is quite coarse. It didnt realy do a good job on my hair at all.All the white girls in my residence loved to borrow it tho so I ended up giving it to one of them eventually.

I just switched from ConAir to Jilbere Ceramic Iron. I love it and it doesn' leave my hair feeling dry. I still feel moisture in my hair after I use it on my 4b hair!
