Is a wig cap harmful to the hair in any way?

I always wear a thin satin turban under my wigs, never a wig cap b/c I was afraid that the nylon might cause breakage in some way. Am I wrong, and are wig caps okay to use daily on your hair under a wig?

Wig caps when they move cause friction....causing breakage around the hairline

So what would be a good alternative? I'm going to make a stocking cap (out of some old pantyhose) to wear under my half wig....

Use a piece of silk/satin scarf as a barrier. I did that when I used to wear a lacefront.

thanks ....i'll check it out when the BSS opens...i dont want to cause more harm or breakage to my own hair....

Thanke for the info ladies. I also was unaware of breakage that could be caused. I to will start using silk. I do not know why I never knew it before. silly me.
