Hi ladies, happy March the 1st....ok so since last tuesday, I have been very lazy with my hair, now don't get me wrong, I still moisturize and oil my ends, but lately, I have been lazy with my hair, I stopped combing and started bunning all the time, night and day, and today I just washed my hair and just put leave in cond, moisturizer and vatika oil and put it in a loose bun....usually I do more, but I don't know, I just don't feel like being bothered with my hair, I mean I was combing it everyday, apply my growth aid, moisturizing everyday, and now I don't comb, I burn all the time so I won't have to comb, I moisturize and seal my ends only and then bun it right back up, wrap with my scarf and that's it, is this normal, I mean I do everything else, but I just don't feel like doing my hair as much as I use to........does anyone feel the same way or has felt the same way?

Hair Burnout?

I can't say much, I am lazy with my hair all the time. I did do a co-wash today. My hair felt heavy, I just washed it on Friday, but it got wet in the rain.

Yeah I think I'm at my hair burnout stage, cuz all last week I was doing my hair like everyday, wearing it down, combing it a lot and doing whatever, and now I'm just like can I get a break.......

lol....to me it doesnt seem as if u r being lazy.....just keeping things simple......

i dont even think your hair will feel it in a negative way but actually enjoy the break......

your laziness is my regime.....lol and it works PERFECTLY for me.....

the days i go all out i may rollerset and see the great progress i have made......or do a braidout for a different look.....

LAZY for me is skipping a day or two of not moisturising!!!!.....or not tying a scarfe in the evening....:yep:

I think it's natural to just get tired and not feeling like doing much to it. Thankfully our hair thrives on low maintenance so skipping a day or two won't hurt it. I have that stage every now and then but I keep things interesting by tweeking my regimen every 6 months.

^^^ I agree. During those lazy/simplistic spurts is when hair grows the best.

I've been lazy since oh, October :look: It's okay, keep up your moisturizing and stuff and your hair will be just fine :yep:.

i don't think that's being lazy. :) haha, that's what i do on the weekends when i had nothing going on! i agree with previous posters. as long as you moisturize and oil daily, your hair won't suffer.

I don't think it's being lazy. In fact, IMO our hair & scalp just needs a break sometimes. Some days I massage for at least 5 minutes just before going to bed & then sometimes, I just don't feel like it!:wallbash: No, you're not being lazy - just taking a break. This happens to me all the time - especially when I don't feel like my hair is growing the way that I'd like it to. But....when the feeling hits, you'll be back at your routine lol!

I've been lazy with my hair every since I found the Off Topic section on this board. Hair what??:lachen:

I'm trying to do a little better starting today. I'm sitting under the dryer doing a deep condition as I type.:yep:

I'm there now. Then too, I've probably got a bunch of drugs and anesthetic still swimming in me, so maybe I'll be back on it in a week or so. Less is more sometimes.

I go through them (lazy stages) at least once a month or every other month. It is okay. It will pass.

\My hair is braided up all the time.

I'm feeling lazy now. I was supposed to flat twist my hair tonight. Well I still have the conditioner in and I'll probably leave it in all night and then only bun tommorrow.

Yeah, just dont get too lazy like i did:ohwell:
I just had to cut off 2 inches due to neglected ends:sad:

I think everyone goes through something like that.

Sometimes I put off washing my hair for the LONGEST time but when I finally do I enjoy it. It's so weird-like a love-hate thing. My main reason is that I feel like its just so much to deal with and I want to do it when I have time to really care for it. I don't want rip through it my hair in frustration and lack of time.

Laziness is the basis of my whole regimen. Wash-n-go's everyday is the laziest thing I could possibly do, which is why I do it. Before hair boards I would get braids and leave them in for 3 months because I'm so lazy about hair.

I think you can be lazy and still have good haircare practices. As long as you aren't do anything too detrimental (like curling your hair hair every morning because you were to lazy to pincurl it at night) then I think you're ok.

Right now I'm trying to find a style I can do with my natural hair that I can leave in for at least a couple of weeks. Then, I'll be really lazy.

lol i've been here for the last 2 months! just doing styling not really anything else. I just wanna include sealing my ends again and then thats it. nothing more. seems ur hair thrives best at these times.

Yah, kinda of. I've been too lazy to do anything pretty much all summer, my hair still grew though, just not as fast as it did over the Summer, yesterday I started back up again :yep: So I want APL by summer 2008, I'm about 1-2in away so this is exciting.

:yep: That's the stage I'm in now. My hair just wants to be left alone and I agree. So...now I've been researching lace wigs as a protective style.

I've been bit by the lazy bug too, I had to force myself to wash, moisturise n seal last night - first time in 8 months of good hair practices that I've felt like truly slacking. When I had the flu a couple months back I still insisted on spraying my hair nearly wet to moisturise when my Mum forbid me from washing it! :lachen:

Yup. I'm in such a lazy mode right now - DC'ing every OTHER week? What, what?!?!?!?! As long as I don't touch/meddle with it during the inbetween times, my hair doesn't seem to mind too much, so I'm happy with that.

i get it everyonce in awhile too. I mean i dotn freak out if I cant co wash one day or if I fall asleep without a silk scarf on.

Being lazy is a GOOD THING when it comes to hair. As long as you can manage to cowash, moisturize, and seal you should be fine. I am going through my lazy time and my hair is benefitting from it.
