Ok It's been 12 days since I cornrowed my hair. Before that I lasted 8 days before I changed my hair style. I am really doing my best to not change my hairstyle for at least 30 days.

But thanks to the snow and even more time on my hands than normal I have been watching some awesome crochet braid tutorials on YT.

These were the YT Vids that inspire me the most

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcoBbJKaukw&feature=related <---her hairline scares me:perplexed:blush:

So now I am getting this really strong itch to redo my braids so they are more suitable for a crochet style.

however I am still buried in the snow, and can't get out to buy more hair. but I was thinking I could redo the cornrows now and then go get more hair when I am FREEE!!!

Although I really really want to make it 30 days just to say, I did it! but I know if I manage to do a nice job with my first crochet attempt it would be easier for me to go 30 days without touching my hair because I would have all that wonderful fake hair to play with.:lick:

Now I know if I am just patient I can always do a crochet when my 30 days are up. However, being stuck in this house with two kids and no husband is really getting me stir crazy:wallbash: At least if I redid my hair that would definately help me kill 4 hours not thinking about the snow. That time figures in my take down, DC, and rebraiding.

Ok sorry this is so long
for a reward if you made it this far I will include some pics of where I am right now. I know my hair is all fuzzy at this point but I keep it covered in public anyway. assuming I will ever see the public again!

The first two pics are from 12 days ago
the last two are from 20 mins ago!

Noooo keep them in! It is more rewarding to see your ng after 30 days with braids/cornrows. Especially since you say you are a slow grower...then you'll be able to have proof that at least it IS growing.

I have my hair in braids also (out of pure laziness lol) & even though I hide them w/ hat I'm also itching to redo mine also. Hang in there! You going love the results after 30 days.

Thanks FF you are right, I have been looking for videos the show ng after a month or two of being braiding for inspiration that's how I ended up watching all those crochet videos:drunk::perplexed
