I think I have hair anorexia. I can definitely detect length, but my thin hair just doesn't look good to me. Granted, I am still working on my non existent edges and super-thin nape area, but I can't seem to get that full look. I used henna in the past, and can't remember if it made a difference in the thickness of my hair.

Thin haired ladies...how can I give the illusion of thicker hair?

Henna seems to work, maybe you could try to rollerset, it gives the illusion of thickness.
Do you take vits?
I know that Biotin gave me good results, and carrot juice too!!

I'm trying to get a fuller look too... I have cassia on my head now for a little help with thickness. Cassia is sometimes referred to as neutral henna and it helps a little but the results don't last that long. I've used regular henna in the past but found it a bit drying for my hair.

You can try a protein treatment, like CPR, Aphogee may be too strong for your strands. I noticed when I tried a black rinse that my hair appeared to look thicker. I put shea butter on my ends and that helped me lock in moisture and retain length. I think thats all I have for now, hopefully other ladies will chime in

I might have to try that CPR stuff. That Aphogee seems like it dries my hair more than usual. I have super thin hair as well. I've been doing spiral sets with the bendy rods ( blue and red), and my hair looks thicker.

I suggest frequent head massages to stimulate your roots as well as a good investment in some Indian hair oils/washes. Amla, and Nyle Oil has really thickened up my hair, especially around the edges.

I did a henna and roller set last night and even though my hair dried in a few minutes, I wrapped it once I took the rollers out and today i'm VERY CUTE, i must admit. My hair is ultra thin, like I am working with skinny-minny strands.

Biotin, castor oil, coconut and olive oils work to thicken up your hair.

Thx ladies. I jumped on the MN bandwagon (sort of). I am using a mixture just around my edges to see if I get results there. I then may try using it on my entire head. I have an issue with consistency.

N.E. way...my MN mixture has castor oil in it, so I will see if it works. I do remember my old stylist (that never could grow my hair) used to WORK a roller set and made my hair look really thick. Too bad I can't mimick her. I just don't want to go back because she will try to slap a relaxer in every six weeks and I don't have 6 hours to spare every week for her to do a roller set:wallbash:.

As for henna...I don't use the regular henna because I LOVE my natural hair color. I get asked daily who deos my highlights, and I tell everyone the good Lord:yep:, so I have used cassia in the past. I honestly didn't see a difference in thickness though. Maybe I should try regular henna. I dunno.
