Knox Gelatin for Protein

I haven't used this method since I had a relaxer but Knox plain gelatin (or a similar brand) is excellent for adding protein to your hair.

You mix the packets in a glass mug (easier to clean) and add distilled water, heat in the microwave for about 25 seconds, stir it until it's like liquid and add it to your hair.

Cheap and effective and I'm headed to the 99 cents store to see if they have any!
 
Do you rinse it out, do you use heat? Is it a hard or soft protein?
 
My mom drinks Knox Gelatin... she used to try to get me to do it when I was a little kid, but I refused. haha It helps with both hair and nails, but my mom especially sees the results with her nails
 
It great for natural hair gel too. Then wash out like you would any product....
