I am getting a relaxer on July 11th and I was wondering how long should I wait to color my hair?
And I was also wondering what brand of hair color is best for preventing alot of damage?

Thanks!

I've heard that Bigen was really good. It doesn't contain any peroxide or ammonia.

Ditto. I use Bigen. Sometimes I apply it right after my relaxer, sometimes I wait a week and then apply it. I have not had any problems with it either way.

You have to wait at least two weeks and I heard Textures and Tones is very gentle.

Are you going lighter or darker? I normally wait a little longer if going lighter. I like permanent colors with little or no ammonia and/or peroxide.

Kitchen_tician: I am going darker, I want a jet black...
Thanks Ladies!
