Hey everyone, just did a flexirod set (1st attempt) and am not best pleased. After 4 hours under the dryer they are still damp! I won't be doing this again in a hurry!

The pics are in my jan 07 album on the 2nd page, enjoy!

I think they look quite cute, and remember you have very long hair so the curl itself will droop a little. I imagine it looked fantastic after you finger styled your hair. :)

Your hair looks so pretty Lonei (as usual)--love the shine too! Thanks for showing us your flexi rod set! :)
I'd post a comment in your Fotki but the comment tab stiil isn't working for me.

I agree that your set came out really nice. After taking it down I would dry it with a diffuser and then pull out the curls...it will be gorgeous!

I think it looks really pretty. I also like how it got the roots straight. You're brave for attempting this on wet hair.

Really? I tried it once and it was a disaster. My curls were too tight even though I used 8 rods and they took forever and a day to dry. Then afterwards I couldn't manage to make it look good with all those curls. Then it won't wrap for nothing. I really didn't like them at all.
Maybe I should try to do them again. What products do you use when you do them?

Well the size rod may be part of the problem.I use bigger rods. I guess it depends on what look you're going for. I admit though, it usually takes me all day. That's because I only sit under the dryer for about 30 minutes on medium and then I let it airdry. I bet your hair would be GORGEOUS on the burgundy rods from Sallys;)

I just use my detangler, leavein and serum. I use about 15-18 rods for this look:

The look great. I've found it helpful to spiral the hair around the rod with minimal overlapping instead of wrapping the hair over itself. :yep:

That is so beautiful!

Lonei, I think you did a great job. The curls look perfect. You can always sit under the dryer a little longer without the rods.

The more rollers I use, the less required drying time. The more hair on the roller, the longer it takes to dry.

Sweet Cashew, what size flexi were you using?

The big purple ones.

The big purple ones.

I have these.....and like alexstin mentioned I think your hair would look beautiful set on these. I have the purple as well, and the burgundy is much bigger.

Sorry to hi-jack Lonei.

Ok, I'm going to have to purchase the burgundy ones. Thanks a lot.:)

How are you all maintaining your hair at nite? I set my hair on the rods but by day 3 my hair looks a mess. Its smooshed and flat I looks a hot mess.

Help your girl out!

Lonei, your flexi-rod set is beautiful! I love it like this. I can't see any problems with it at all! I love this look. The ringlets are bangin!
