Still Surging on the hair line...but using the Wojee cream as a moisturizer and finishing up the Surge Power wash...spiked with gobs of conditioner.
I dont do my hair as often anymore...I feel comfortable with how it looks now and it seems to stay moisturized for days. I understand how nappy hair is supposed to look and love it.
My "Pookie" spritz has rosemary in it, so I am sure that is helping the growth. I take MSM (2000 mgs a day) but that is the only vitamin. My diet is primariy protein...and I have been exercising more.
Other than that...good vibes, talking to and playing in my hair...no heat and product junkyism seem to be keeping my hair happy!
Okay, you are on my "inspiration" list. Your hair is growing beautifully. I do swear by Surge tough, because I put it to the ULTIMATE test...but not on my head! I have been tweezing my eyebrows for...gosh...about 26 years or so, and because I had done it so long that when I had decided to let them grow back in, they just would not fill back in. Well, I've been in Paris a month and it was when I got here I made myself I was going to use Surge to fill in the thin spots in my brows. I didn't want the ends (closest to my temples) thicker, just the part closest to my nose. Well, I've been using Surge for about 2 1/2 weeks and I promise you they have all filled in! To let you know how well, one day my hubby came in from work and I had washed my face but didn't bother with makeup since I wasn't going out. Well, he looked at me and said, "I love how you are penciling your brows now, I like the thicker look...it's really cute." I just
his face off for noticing and giving me such a sweet compliment. When I told them they were mine, he said I should tell the ladies on teh board what else Surge is good for
Good job with your hair and do keep us updated on yoru progress...you'll probably end up next month's "feature of the month" if your hair keeps growing at this rate.

Pookey, your hair is looking FANTASTIC! So thick and purty. You are definitely on the grow
And we can see by your radiance that you are loving the natural you.
Keep the pics coming.

Your pics give me hope...what would I do with 28 INCHES of natural hair!!!??? Strengthen my neck muscels so that I could braid my hair into a huge ponytail and have my baby neice hold onto it and swing her around!!!!
Cybra, I like your idea of using surge on eyebrows. I have always wanted to have fuller eyebrows, so I'm gonna give it a try!
AFashionplate, I just checked your album. Where have I been, how did I miss your updates? Your hairstyles are just stunning, and I love the darker hair color on you!
@ Nonie...how come I cant see that picture? And let me guess...does your Polyjuice Potion have Nonie juice in it? Daggone it...now theres something else I need at the store!
What do you mean you couldn't see the picture? D'you mean it was too small to see? If so, hold your mouse pointer inside the picture till an orange square appears in the bottom right hand corner then point your mouse to the square and left-click it to enlarge the picture. The writing inside the picture explains all about Polyjuice.
(But I've gotta tell ya, if you're not at Hogwarts or are simply a muggle or a squib, you might not be able to come up with potent Polyjuice that gets you as great results as I got.
Pookeylou,
Your hair looks beautiful, can you PM me your regimen? I'm toying with the idea of transitioning. You and Ms_Kenesha have really got me thinking.

Pookey-poo gotta ask ya something concerning the shea butter. Is it just a moisturizer or does it moisturize plus hold styles better. A friend of mine gave me a small jar of shea butter and it is hard and has this "look" to it (not just one smooth consistent color). Do you allow yours to soften at room temperature?

Definitely let it soften at room tempreture. I add a pinch full to damp hair and then twist my hair. I little bit goes a long way. Especially if you dont want your hair to feel greasy.
It is PHENOMINAL at softening your hair and making it shiny. I add lavendar to add fragrance.

Pookeylou, your hair looks so healthy & shiny! You got me over here wanting to buy some shea butter & Surge. That's a nice headband, too.
