i havent used a relaxer in 11 months. when i had a relaxer it was a vigerol(sp?

i want to do my next relaxer myself and these are the two i hear about the most. i want to try affirm but someone said your hair has to be really strong to tolerate this relaxer. is that true?
which one is better, mizani or affirm?
