Natural Again
I am natural and trying to grow my hair to APL by May 09 for my graduation. I was doing the C&G technique and just took out my braids about 2 1/2 weeks ago. So, I decided to do my own kinky twists! I have to give props to this YouTube video for helping me out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0NM4xZahRc

Check them out...whatcha think? They are not as tight as I wanted and I know I ended up doing a few different sized but I think it came out pretty good for the first time!

My mom told me they looked good & I believed her but it's always nice to get feedback from you guys who have a lot of haircare experience

these kinky twists look great..and you said its your first time. if i didnt already do my own hair, i'd let you do mine with (and i dont let just anyone do my hair) :grin:

So do I too..;-) Your hair looks great!!i twist my own hair but want to experiment with other hair..thanks for the video post..
 
Yay for May '09 graduates!!!!!! And all graduates!!!!!

I did it within 2 days. I honestly can't remember how many hours each day but probably between 5 and 6 hours each day. I know it sounds like a long time but I was watching television, taking breaks, eating. It really wasn't that bad, I was shocked! It was a little slow at first because I was getting the hang of it but by the time I got towards the front it went a lot faster (because I started in the back)

Thanks again ladies for the compliments ladies!! It means so much you just don't know

I've been natural for a little over a year and it has been a back and forth conflicting experience sometimes so as I learn new styles and now getting compliments on it, it makes it easier to continue on the natural journey!!
